Description:
Nvidia drivers cause a hard machine lock with XID error message in log when running Gnome Additional info: 370 is a beta/short-term driver release. The official 367 drivers aren't in Arch, and long-term stability should always be an option. I contacted Nvidia about this and we resolved the issue to driver version 370. Running fine on 367. This was on a 16 core dual-XEON, so the strange hardware may have been a contributing problem Steps to reproduce: * Open overview mode w/Meta key * Start typing in search bar - if it doesn't lock up, keep trying Please make 367 available, at least as an option. 370 has known issues with other packages as well (see Bug #50500 and possibly others) and IMHO, should be deprecated in favor of stable long-term version. |
