Details
Description:
After a few days of uptime, I noticed that xorg-server allocated around 1.3Gb memory. Additional info: * Intel HD Graphics 3000 * xorg-server 1.18.4-1 * 4.7.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Aug 17 08:13:35 CEST 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux xorg-server dependencies: * local/libepoxy 1.3.1-1 * local/libxdmcp 1.1.2-1 * local/libxfont 1.5.1-1 * local/libpciaccess 0.13.4-1 * local/libdrm 2.4.70-1 * local/pixman 0.34.0-1 * local/libgcrypt 1.7.3-1 * local/libgpg-error 1.24-1 * local/libxau 1.0.8-2 * local/xorg-server-common 1.18.4-1 * local/libxshmfence 1.2-1 * local/libglade 2.6.4-5 * local/mesa-libgl 12.0.1-7 * local/xf86-input-evdev 2.10.3-1 Steps to reproduce: * Boot a system, work as usual. Xorg memory consumption will slowly raise. |
This task depends upon
* with mesa/llvm/amdgpu from git so probably not a xorg problem/leak
Need to notice that the same version of xorg seems to work nice inside a virtualbox.
Is there any additional actions to narrow the issue?
xorg-pmap.2 (17 KiB)
xorg-pmap.diff (0.5 KiB)
What is the better place to report this issue (xorg + modesetting)?
product: Xorg
component: driver/modesetting
