Details
Description:
Text selection highlighting does not show in Firefox 45.0.2-1 from the official mirrors . Functionally, it still works, but you cannot tell what you've selected. This issue occurs both in the main UI (tool bars, address bar, etc.) and on websites. This issue does NOT occur with Firefox downloaded from Mozilla.org and installed in home directory. To me, this suggests this is NOT an upstream issue. Marking Medium severity due to commonly used feature being broken. Additional info: * package version(s) $ pacman -Qs: local/arch-firefox-search 0.8.2-7 Firefox Arch search engines (AUR, Pkgs, BBS, Wiki, etc.) local/firefox 45.0.2-1 Standalone web browser from mozilla.org local/firefox-i18n-ja 45.0.2-1 Japanese language pack for Firefox * config and/or log files etc. No configuration files. Logs attached. Steps to reproduce: Install Firefox 45.0.2-1 from official Arch Linux mirrors Install Firefox 45.0.2 to /home/$USER/firefox using .tar.bz2 file direct from Mozilla.org. Run packaged Firefox Text selection highlighting does not show. Close Firefox. Run /home/$USER/firefox/firefox Text selection highlighting works perfectly. |

Forgot to mention, I'm using KDE Plasma 5 desktop. All Firefox
dependencies are up-to-date, and I have tried force-reinstalling
all installed Firefox and GTK2/3 packages.
