Description:
After 1-2 minutes on intel hd5500, everything on my display freezes except for my mouse and sound will continue to play. Switching ttys with ctrl+number key doesn't work. The previous release xf86-video-intel-1:2.99.917+622+gde44aaa-1-x86_6 works fine for me with no notcible issues.

This was a free install just a few days old. I just think its a broken release upstream

Same here. The system freezes up almost completely. Sound plays until the buffer is empty. The power button reacts and shuts the system down regularly.
As far as I can tell the problem occurs when any OpenGL application enters fullscreen mode.
Intel HD 3000 here.

problem still present with 1:2.99.917+631+gf2a4645-1.
kde freeze complete, no console switch is possible, connect with ssh is the only way to reboot.
hardware: Intel Celeron N3150 with gpu shown as Intel Device 22b1
downgrade to 1:2.99.917+579+g74cd4d0-1 solve my problem for now

Please check with lastest pkg release in testing repo. It includes the fix from the upstream report.

I have tested xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+636+g562ae1f-1 with fullscreen OpenGL programs for half an hour without issue, the fix seems to work.
