IMO it would be nice if mkinitramfs and kernel26beyond were moved from Extra to Current. This would allow fans of the -beyond kernel (or people wanting to try it out) to have a somewhat easier time putting it on a system during installation.

hmm you probably know mkinitramfs is dead, so this will not happen.

No I didn't know that... Thanks anyway. Is it possible to move kernel26beyond when mkinitcpio becomes default, or will it stay in Extra?

current only contains one package for each task. so there's no place for two kernels. if you miss a feature essentuelly in the stock kernel file a bug report for it.
