What video driver do you use? Do you have some entries in your log files?

I copied the .xsession-errors after it crashed and before re-login to KDE. Attached it with this note.

To have logs that just contain the necessary things and nothing possibly confusing stuff
I just rebooted, logged in to KDE and reproduced my problem.
Before re-login I copied .xsessions-errors and piped output of journalctl -b to a file on console.

I attach the files with this comment.

In the meantime there were some software updates, but problem still exists.

Currently I have this package versions installed:
$ pacman -Q | grep libreoffice
libreoffice-fresh 5.1.2-1
libreoffice-fresh-de 5.1.2-1

$ pacman -Q plasma-desktop plasma-workspace
plasma-desktop 5.6.2-1
plasma-workspace 5.6.2-1

I can reproduce on my desktop machine when using the modesetting xorg driver (not with the intel driver). On my laptop (also with Intel video card) I don't get a crash with the modesetting driver, but the text in the document recovery window is corrupted (black boxes). Again everything's ok when using the intel xorg driver.

also after upgrade to new kernel the problem still exists.

$ uname -a
Linux bart 4.5.0-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Mar 15 09:41:03 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

On tuesday I updated to kernel 4.5.1. And also some plasma packages got updated.
Since then the problem disappeared. Document recovery of LibreOffice doesn't crash my
desktop session anymore.
