Details

Description:
package says that in order to get notification support you need "notification-daemon" package installed, so it is listed as optional dependency;
I haven't it installed in my system and I get notification;
this makes usefulness that optional dependency.

download a file and wait the "download complete" notification

Additional comments about closing:  It's needed for WMs that don't already provide notification support, like GNOME does.
