DetailsDescription:
The kodi addon delivered with this package does not work. I cannot see a lame encoder in the encoder list in kodi. I tracked it down to the addon.xml file (/usr/share/kodi/addons/audioencoder.lame/addon.xml). There are variables used for platform library filename (@PLATFORM@, @LIBRARY_FILENAME@) which do not seem to be resolved by kodi. When I change the file from this: ... <extension point="xbmc.audioencoder" extension=".mp3" library_@PLATFORM@="@LIBRARY_FILENAME@"/> <extension point="xbmc.addon.metadata"> <summary lang="en">Lame MP3 Audio Encoder</summary> <description lang="en">Lame MP3 Audio Encoder</description> <platform>@PLATFORM@</platform> </extension> ... to this: ... <extension point="xbmc.audioencoder" extension=".mp3" library_linux="audioencoder.lame.so"/> <extension point="xbmc.addon.metadata"> <summary lang="en">Lame MP3 Audio Encoder</summary> <description lang="en">Lame MP3 Audio Encoder</description> <platform>linux</platform> </extension> ... the encoder is shown in kodi and is working fine. This has never been working for me yet since using kodi on arch. Additional info: /------------------------\ * package version(s) my installed kodi packages are: yaourt -Ss kodi | grep installed community/kodi 15.2-3 [installed] community/kodi-audioencoder-lame 20150810.5591a68-3 (kodi-addons) [installed] community/kodi-audioencoder-vorbis 20150810.3a88875-3 (kodi-addons) [installed] community/libplatform 1.0.10-2 [installed] aur/kodi-addon-pvr-hts-git r314.016b0b3-1 [installed: r306.9b05d4c-1] (10) aur/kodi-platform-git r34.054a42f-1 [installed: r36.33b6390-2] (17) Steps to reproduce: /------------------------\ see description. |
