Details

Description:
GLIBC needs to be built without --enable-lock-elision
as that is causing segmentation faults within pthreads (libpthread-2.22)
with majority of the packages that use it on Skylake CPUs (i7-6700)

Additional info:

* config and/or log files etc.


Steps to reproduce:
install on i7-6700 system default arch installation
pamac-updater, chrome, etc... crash fully or partially with error in libpthread

Are you using the microcode updates? Do you use nvidia?

i do use microcode (but its from january of 2015)
and i do have nvidia, however i see segmentation faults even without starting X so when driver is not invoked.
and in non X applications.

iv noticed that fedora by default build with disabled lock-elision on x64
