Details
Description: Console fonts are not set if plymouth is also
used
Additional info: * package version(s): mkinicpio 18-2 plymouth 0.9.2-8 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: In /etc/mkinitcpio.conf have the following hookts: HOOKS="base udev resume plymouth autodetect consolefont modconf block plymouth-encrypt filesystems keyboard fsck" Unless escape is pressed to view the console during plymouth, consolefonts is ignored. Sounds like the plymouth hook is the problem, and it's not in the

You consolefonts aren't ignored by mkinitcpio, but Plymouth takes
over your TTY and then resets it. There's not much mkinitcpio can
do about this. Set your fonts in the real root, not in early
userspace.
