Details

The latest Unichrome driver seems to lock my monitor's brightness and contrast settings on maximum, or something, giving extremely washed out color. I took a screenshot, but under the xf86-video-via driver it looks normal, so I can only assume that the Unichrome driver does strange things to CRT monitors.

Airbag confirms this:

"Same problem as you with these driver : colors are far too bright on my LCD screen."

Evidently it's not justa CRT thing.

Weird, the washed-out color problem has disappeared. I am now using the unichrome driver without any problems.
