Are you starting X with the `startx` command?

Have similar problems with Intel graphics.

If I chmod 666 /dev/tty* it will then launch to a blank screen (Acer C720 chromebook) or get stuck on an empty text cursor (Intel NUC Core i5).

I boot to a text console and use startxfce4. I don't have an .xinitrc or .xsession file. So maybe related to  FS#44285  as well.

startxfce4 was fixed so my my desktop/laptop both now work. However, I still have problems with kodi-standalone-service from AUR on my media center pc.

The latest round of xfce upgrades resolved my problem. I'm not using kodi.
