brasero needs libdvdcss to copy video DVD encrypted with CSS as ISO images.
Few monthes ago (I don't buy video DVD really often), I just needed to insert a DVD and run brasero to make a backup iso image.
Now when the copy process begins, I get an error message for a missing libdvdcss.so.2 (which is already installed on my computer).
I just needed to rebuild brasero with makepkg (and the official PKGBUILD) to solve the issue.
So :
1 - I suppose something is wrong with the official build and a rebuild seems to solve the issue.
2 - I'm not sure about adding libdvdcss as an optional dependency for brasero : brasero already optionally depends on dvdauthor, dvdauthor depends on libdvdread, and libdvdread optionally depends on libdvdcss. So there's already a "sort of" dependency (though through two optional dependencies).
Thanks
