FS#4337 - gnome does not depend on xorg-server
|
Details
Installing the gnome group (pacman -Sy gnome), on a system
with no X components already installed, does not bring in
xorg-server as a dependency. A small number of X libraries
and *proto packages are included, but no X-server.
The full list of packages to be installed is attached. This was generated by entering pacman -Sy gnome on a system with no X, and with [current], [extra], and [community] enabled in pacman.conf. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: this isn't a bug, xorg isn't a needed dep for gnome, you can run an x-server on a different network workstation and use gnome then.
