Description:
A bug in the upstream xf86-video-vmware causes the Xorg server to spike to 100% cpu use and hang on the way down, whether via logout, shutdown, etc. After much searching, i finally found a bug report against SUSE that corroborates exactly this issue and demonstrates that it's already been corrected in the upstream repository. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=900884 Additional info: xf86-video-vmware 13.0.2-2 xorg-server 1.16.2.901-1 no log messages of consequence are produced Steps to reproduce: logout of a session or shut down / reboot the machine. it hangs until some other component kills the X server and continues on... using |
