Description:

wicd-curses returns a stack trace to an AttributeError when trying to start.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in to shell (bash or zsh tested) from a terminal emulator (urxvt and xterm tested) or TTY as any user (priviledged or not both give same error)
2. run `wicd-curses` at the shell prompt
