My main problem is that this packages doesn't come with any instruction.
Ok, no problem, I can open the menu and go to the website to know how to use this package. Nope, no instructions on https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Music
Ok, i'll open the help menu, no problem: https://ptpb.pw/Tf8S.txt Nope, traceback.
I'm guessing the instructions would be to follow some of the advices in the comment https://www.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/3rb37r/gnomemusic_doesnt_find_any_files/ (note tracker-control has been renamed tracker).
Please note i'm not using a gnome desktop environment: i'm using a vanilla openbox, and all thoses problems may come from the fact using gnome-music outside of a gnome DE is not intended.
Thank you for your question, good luck with using this piece of… well, thing.
so IMHO we can close it
