Description: After installing the Linux Kernel 3.16, my laptop Lenovo IdeaPad U510 did not restart correctly or turned off. First, the process took too long off for not dismounting partitions correctly. Sometimes taking too stopping some processes as libvirtd.service. I deactivated that process and fading faster.

Then it was stuck when it came to the Power Off, and had to shut down manually using the power button. The same thing happened when I tried to restart the laptop.

I solved this temporarily using the LTS Linux Kernel.

Steps to reproduce: I kept looking and I found this site [1]. I did what you suggested and something funny happens, LTS Kernel, the command:

sync && reboot -f

restarted the Laptop. But with the 3.16 and 3.17 kernel tells me:

Rebooting ...

but does nothing.
