Details

Description: Amarok stopped playing music after updating to phonon-gstreamer 4.8
Phonon vlc works though.

Could not confirm this problem, have also phonon-qt4-gstreamer 4.8.0-2 installed. But had a similar problem that only mp3 files & streams were not played while ogg or wav worked for me. Additional installation of package gst-libav solved the problem for me; give it a try.

I didn't realize phonon switched to gsteamer 1.x. I thought it still running with 0.10.

After my feature request  FS#42152  already has been closed I repeat it here again: Please add gst-libav at least as optional dependency to amarok, since it does not play mp3s without it.
