Details

Since linux >= 3.15 opengl applications crash after resume from suspend and it won't be possible to start new ones.

Here is the output of kwin, when i try to start it after resume:

This is a different bug from the one it's closed as duplicate of, and unlike that one is not fixed.

Hmm. By now,  FS#41045  has been reopened and mutated into covering this one.
Leaving this open would have made more sense than reopening and changing the subject of #41045, but since that's done now this one might as well be closed-duplicate again.

As mentioned in  FS#41045  (which seems to have supplanted this one), the fix exists in 3.17-rcs but hasn't been backported for some reason.
Would it be possible for Arch to apply the fix downstream until it gets into a kernel.org release? This bug is a serious nuisance for everyone with these IGPs, which are quite numerous.
