Details
Description:
libc-2.19.so, from glibc package, causes programs to crash by segfault. Examples: [ 1162.409804] zeal[1459]: segfault at 7fff3a61bff8 ip 00007fc68276afb1 sp 00007fff3a61c000 error 6 in libc-2.19.so[7fc6826f4000+1a4000] [ 8569.251174] gimp[4026]: segfault at 7fff78db4fd8 ip 00007f57c134c0ff sp 00007fff78db4fe0 error 6 in libc-2.19.so[7f57c12e2000+1a4000] [12294.740719] thunar[4892]: segfault at 7ffff3a45ff8 ip 00007f9e2208e0ff sp 00007ffff3a46000 error 6 in libc-2.19.so[7f9e22024000+1a4000] [18624.498266] mousepad[5689]: segfault at 7fff9d12efb8 ip 00007f659affa0ff sp 00007fff9d12efc0 error 6 in libc-2.19.so[7f659af90000+1a4000] Additional info: * package version(s) glibc 2.19-5 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Most of the programs (gimp, thunar, zeal-git in the examples, but I also suffer it with firefox and simple-scan and I guess this will happen with a bunch more using glibc) crash when you need to enter text in a text field, so: - When you try to search a document in zeal and try to enter text → CRASH - When you download a file in firefox and you want to name it to save → CRASH - When you scan something with simple-scan and try to name the file to save → CRASH - Idem when saving an image with GIMP → CRASH - When yo try to rename a file in thunar → CRASH Other programs, like mousepad, just crash spontaneously. This happen when I upgrade the system today in my workstation. After that (I still didn't know what the error was), I upgrade my Arch in my laptop... and it has now the same error. |

This means the error is in libxcursor?
Anyway, I guess this will be fixed, eventually, no?
Many thanks again, Doug.
