Description:
There is a bug in ssmtp. When a password (AuthPass= ... in /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf) contains '#' character then sending mail fails with Authorization error. Probably its because # is taken as a comment character instead of not parsing everything between AuthPass= and <new line>. Workaround is to change the password in both mail server and /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf to make sure it does not have '#' in it. Additional info: * package version: 2.64-5 |
