Details

The new 34.0.1847.137-1 version does not build in a clean chroot. Did you need to modify the CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS to /-fstack-protector-strong/-fstack-protector/ or something similar to get it to work? Error I get: http://pastebin.com/AAjZH1AG

Yes, doing that substitution to /etc/makepkg.conf is required to allow a successful build. mschmoelzer speculate in his AUR post[1] that the error occurs because it's trying to link against a library not compiled with the "-fstack-protector-strong" compiler flag. Should a new bug report get opened against something in clang?

It's the same deal as with -fstack-protector which gets filtered out when building nacl_bootstrap_helper:

I added a patch that also filters out -fstack-protector-strong.
