Description:
QEMU 2 supports SDL 2: http://wiki.qemu.org/ChangeLog/Next#GUI
SDL 2 is good because it supports Wayland: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/wayland#SDL
Looking at the qemu 2.0.0-2 package in testing, it doesn't depend on sdl2.

SDL2 support is not complete. Not enabled by default.
