'cpqarray' module (nedded for Compaq RAID arrays) was removed in 3.13 linux kernel.
Please re-add it.

I didn't think I was the last using 12 years old servers... I don't want to disturb them.... Is it still possible to add this module manually ? If not I can stay at linux 3.12.

This commit seems really weird to me, too, 12 years is not a long time. The problem is that the driver will be removed from the tree with 3.15 until someone steps up now and says that he needs this driver - for 3.13 or 3.14, we could in principle manually enable it, but I won't do that unless the kernel devs decide to do the same.

I think this can be closed because it's not really a lack of a feature. It was intentional breakage to check if anyone still needs this. It will be unbroken in 3.15 if people mention that they're using it on LKML and skipping from 3.13 -> 3.15 isn't a big deal. It was niche enough for a commit disabling it to sneak it, so it's not worth applying a downstream patch.
