Description:
When new kernels are installed, the update process deletes /lib/modules/`uname -r` and old kernels, which leads to some major headache. For example, USB stop working until next reboot. All other major distros keep the last kernel to prevent a non-booting situation, and also, the last kernel modules, so module-dependant software that hasn't loaded the modules yet, keeps working until reboot. Please consider making this the default behavior in Arch. Regards |
