DetailsDescription:
On a clean install, I did install these packages (The full list is attached) : base, base-devel, polkit-qt, samba, upower, vlc, xbmc, xf86-video-intel, xorg-server. After testing xorg, I did activate xbmc.service and reboot. Xbmc is starting without problem, but I cannot shutdown the PC, I have only the EXIT button. I did create my own service and everything is working properly (At least the basics). And now XBMC does start on the right TTY : vt7 The service is attached. Additional info: * package version(s) xbmc 12.3-8 polkit 0.112-1 upower 0.9.23-2 |
This task depends upon
pkg-installed
But this part is related to https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/37939
With this new .service, the configuration file /usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/10-xbmc.rules is no longer necessary (at least with my setup)
On my opinion we should remove xbmc from the groups: disk, storage and power (tested and everything is working properly).
Why not using the service file attached since the origin ? I may have make a mistake or another reason that I don't known, but please explain...
