Request: Blocking Kaia Global Network subranges on the Arch tracker. Reason: They or their clients (which is not really important in this case) are causing disruptive traffic on seeders by continously downloading Arch ISO image over and over again. The traffic exceed normal one by factor of 10-20x and block genuine downloads. I request blocking those ranges on tracker itself, as most seeders may be unaware of the problem and the fact that their bandwidth is filled by KGN. Notes: KGN was notified. No response was received until the issue hit public Arch forum. After that in an e-mail to me from 2014/01/13 they have explicitly refused to take action. 10-20x factor was estimated by comparing two values: - over-half-month upload of december release with KGN allowed: 250GB - one-month upload of january release with KGN blocked: 23GB I was seeding other torrents at the same time, so given factors should be treated as lower bound. |
