Description:
It looks like geary should be dependent on gnome-keyring (or some provider of org.freedesktop.secrets). Without it, it refuses to start after an account has been configured, whether a password was requested to be remembered or not, showing this error in debug mode: [msg] 15:30:09 0.019215 Remote error from secret service: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files Additional info: geary-0.5.1-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Remove gnome-keyring or other org.freedesktop.secrets provider (if installed) 2. Run Geary first time to set up an account 3. Quit out of Geary 4. Attempt to reopen Geary |
