With [keyboard] hook in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf I get similar result - keyboard don't work, but on my notebook (old pcg-v505cp, i686 architecture) linux-3.13 with testing work perfect, so maybe something wrong with 64-bit compilation?

The warning only talks about using keyboard during early init.
It's not clear for me what "early init" exactly means, but the keyboard is not working for me even after the display manager has started.

And I DO have keyboard in HOOKS in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf

Also faced this problem.
Keyboard: Logitech Internet 350 Keyboard PS/2.
Linux Kernel: 3.13-1 x86_64.
All updates on 2014.01.26.

We haven't decided yet how to resolve the issue. In the meantime, anyone who wants to keep testing 3.13 can load the atkbd module manually using /etc/modules-load.d/.

Okay, for the moment, can everyone please test 3.13-2? The autoloading should be fixed there and AT keyboards should work again. Please report back if it still doesn't work for you.

I'd like to keep this task open in case anyone still has problems. As it stands, on some machines it is impossible to autodetect the presence of an i8042 controller. For example, on my rather new Asus H87-PLUS, autodetection fails. When I load i8042, I get this message:

kernel: i8042: PNP: No PS/2 controller found. Probing ports directly.

So, all people with this problem will have to load i8042 manually.
