Hello,

Could the python bindings be enabled ?
See the package libftdi1 from AUR which creates a split python-libfti1 package (python3 is supported).

Also, examples are not very useful, you can pass -DEXAMPLES=OFF to avoid building them.

Similarly, use -DFTDI_EEPROM=OFF to disable eeprom tool

At some point the makefile became really hard to split. The python bindings are only 200KB extra. So they will be bundled, with python as an optdep.

Almost enabled tests but they need some (yet unknown) makedep, stopping the chroot builds.
