DetailsThe polkit authentication agent is a session-specific thing. Users have to ensure that it's available in their X session. Cinnamon, GNOME and KDE users are already have one, and lightweight DE users could choose one of the available implementations, but they have to ensure that the agent is autostarted with their session.[1]
