Details
/etc/pam.d/lightdm-greeter should have the option
'class=greeter' so that logind doesn't think that the
greeter is a normal user session.

Instead of modifying lightdm-greeter, this has been fixed
upstream
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~lightdm-team/lightdm/trunk/revision/1820. I'll backport that commit.
