Description:
open a PHP file with syntax colors turned on, it works ok. however, if you create a new document within mousepad then save it as a *.php (without closing) then start writing code, it doesn't show with syntax colours until you close the document and open it again. A patch posted on a bug tracker is unlikely to be applied unless
it fixes a broken build or a critical issue like a security bug.
Backporting random fixes that are actually accepted (this doesn't
appear to be) is also not generally done for Arch Linux packages.

but additionally (not sure if need to create another bug repport)
I can't get mousepad hilight my files indifferent if I select a
highlight or not.
