Some more info: line 85 in /usr/lib/python3.3/site-packages/gnomemusic/notification.py returns that item.get_title() has the value None, although VLC shows that the song has a title. I'm looking into it.

OK, I created a small dirty patch as a temporal fix. The bug is upstream though. Hope this helps someone.
