Description:
When using laptop-mode-tools with core/linux 3.10.10, the hard drive will spin down based upon preferences in /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf, but will not spin back up. I downgraded the linux and linux-headers package on advice from a friend using the Downgrade tool in the AUR to version 3.10.7. Everything works fine now as usual. I am extremely new to bug reporting as this is the first I've found to do with a kernel. Please request any and all logs/outputs you would like. I googled hard for this problem and didn't find anyone else with even a similar problem. Lenovo Thinkpad X60 - Dual Core @ 1.8GHz Hitachi 120GB 5200RPM hard drive. Standard up-to-date Arch Linux. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Install laptop-mode-tools and start it with systemctl when running the 3.10.10 kernel on a Lenovo Thinkpad (X60). |

I'm afraid I now use a new laptop and an SSD so cannot confirm.
The old one has had Arch stripped off of it. Apologies.
