Details
Summary and Info:
Ran 'pacman -Sc' to remove old packages -- answering 'y' to both questions. It failed to remove old 'parts' of failed download packages (i.e. package.tar.xz.part) This produced error messages about missing metadata. Steps to Reproduce: As above -- note the old complete downloaded packages were removed -- just missed the ones with a '.part' (due to network disconnect). Apparently it does not look for this condition and assumes all old files will be complete. (They were from a later download). Unclear whether this is a pure download clean up error or a clean out old package error -- might handle it both ways. Manual removal of the file cleared the issue. Low priority. |
