Details

Description:The dependency list for Simutrans does not list timidity++ as required but without it Midi music is not played. additionally I have a problem with ambient sounds not playing as sdl cannot find a sound card but that is probably something else entirly.

And is this solves the problem for you? Because I unable to play MIDI music, even if timidity++ installed.

Yes all I needed was timidy and of course SDL_mixer. Midi sounds play OK, ambient sounds do not play and I have not found out why yet.
