I am using chromium with the icedtea-web-java7, and chromium is showing me:
IcedTea - Version: 1.3.1) Download Critical Security Update

and when I try to load a java applet I have to force it to run every time, is there an update available with the java7 package? Or whats going on, the latest version on the icedtea site is 1.3.1 ...

some java applets dont load nicely (or at all) when they have to be asked to start, some do some dont, kind of a hassle with one im using at the moment.

I believe the issue with Chromium thinking icedtea is outdated will be fixed in v24:

As for the java applet, can you give a link? Does it only happen on certain sites or...?

ok hopefully we can package this quickly.
The applets I have used recently was a school grading applet and another for a fantasy football site. My schools applet was quirky, so i just used firefox to access that, and for the fantasy site, it loads eventually after a refresh after manually allowing icedtea to run.

I guess the severity of this bug can be lowered to low.
