* Expected behavior
After turning the VPN on, the user is prompted for a password, which is used for the VPN connection. * Actual result The connection attempt fails immediately, without ever prompting the user for a password. * Patch available Upstream is not responding to a proposed patch: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=679225. I have been using it without issues for months now. I am attaching a source package with the patch, plus a fix for the build (https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32365) which has not been released yet. Additional info: * package version(s) networkmanager-pptp 0.9.6.0-2 gnome-shell 3.6.1-2 Steps to reproduce: Configure pptp VPN in networkmanager, select ask for password. Try to enable VPN. |
