Description: wicd internally uses "rfkill" to switch
wireless interfaces on and off.
Without the rfkill binary one gets the following messages in /var/log/wicd/wicd.log: 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: rfkill: blocking wifi 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: Running command ['rfkill', 'block', 'wifi'] failed: [Errno 2] No such file or directory 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: rfkill: blocking wlan 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: Running command ['rfkill', 'block', 'wlan'] failed: [Errno 2] No such file or directory 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: rfkill: blocking wimax 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: Running command ['rfkill', 'block', 'wimax'] failed: [Errno 2] No such file or directory 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: rfkill: blocking wwan 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: Running command ['rfkill', 'block', 'wwan'] failed: [Errno 2] No such file or directory 2012/11/07 20:04:00 :: Running command ['rfkill', 'list'] failed: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Additional info: * package version 1.7.2.3 Steps to reproduce: - install wicd without "rfkill" - toggle rfkill in wicd-curses or wicd-gtk if installed |
