My system: Arch Linux 64 bit HP laptop
But upgrading to it is a bit hairy.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=150587&p=3
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686102
Rationale:
* The gnome developers itself fixed that months ago (correct?), but doesn't released a patch, so it is already in officiall tree
* Using a major release for fixing plain bugs is not sane nor secure
* Gnome 3.6 is, at time of writing, not in [stable] and it will need some days or even weeks before moving from [testing] to [stable]
* Just pulling the simple fix itself for the current package of gnome-settings-daemon can be delivered immediately and shouldn't be too dangerous
* The Gnome developers suggests this itself
* Usage of Gnome 3.4 is broken in core areas
Talking and persuading Gnome developers leads often not to a solution and just make both sides sad. Thats not personal judgement, it is just the experience.
Thanks, even if you decide not to do this.
