Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Fixed, seems -Wl,--export-dynamic, which is required for libglade programs, isn't passed when compiling with xine backend.

pacman -Suy when you enable testing... gcc / libtool slay etc.... you can't just install gnome from it ;)

ok... reinstalled again
done.. as you mentioned (reinstall -> pacman -Syu -> enabled testing -> pacman -Syu -> pacman -S gnome ->pacman -S gnome-extras -> reboot -> Pacman -S totem-xine -> startx -> totem -> Crash.

still the same message.

Hmm, I think a recompilation with LDFLAGS=-Wl,--export-all could fix this one, but I am not sure. Have to check this when I have time for it.

Same problem here.

Reported this one upstream, I think it's a big bug in their xine backend. The mozilla plugins works "fine", but doesn't display remote URLs, so that one is pretty useless also.

Well, this is weird version 1.1.4, 1.1.5 and 1.2 have the same error you'd of thought they would of noticed a bug like this by now.

Having the same problem. Athlon XP 1700+, GNOME2.12, system updated from testing.

I did *not* have this problem using my version of totem-xine 1.1.4 before upgrading from testing-- I went back and recompiled 1.1.4 afterwards to check and I *do* get it now.

I'll bang on it some more.

Same problem here too, totem-xine 1.2.0 crashes on Arch.

Same problem

Same problem. Also, using ABS / makepkg, neither totem nor totem-xine compile. Error message:

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.6.3 gtk+-2.0 >= 2.5.6 libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.3.3 libglade-2.0 gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.9.92 gnome-vfs-module-2.0 >= 2.9.92 gnome-desktop-2.0 >= 2.1.5 gnome-icon-theme >= 2.9.3 iso-codes libmusicbrainz libxine >= 1.0.1 gconf-2.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

totem runs, totem-xine crashes, neither can be built on this machine. I updated my system today (current and extra).
