Hello,
I wasn't sure if I should file this under bugs, but decided to get some input before i do so. In case I can try some things to better get a grasp on the issue. I am trying to install archlinux using archlinux-2012.06.05_04-00-01-core-x86_64.iso, I used win32-diskimager to write the ISO to a 1GB usb pen drive. But the installer fails to create/tag a partition as root. After I pick a partition I want to install, I choose to format it using ext4 and then specify it as the mountpoint for root. But nothing happens, I see no errors in tty7 and selecting "Done" gives me the error that I have not specified mountpoint for "/". Another weird issue is that all the partitions on the drive are listed/displayed twice in the menu for choosing a partition to install/format. I used cfdisk to create a logical partition, there is winxp installed in /dev/sda1. The netinstall image works fine, i can install fine through that, but the daily snapshot doesn't work. I had same issues with a older snapshot also, which i am not sure which one it was... as I had it written to my USB couple of weeks ago. |
