Description:
When initializing the pacman keyring, the process relies on GPG to use the "available system entropy", but the user is not notified of this. The issue is especially apparent on headless machines, with only a few running processes, where it might take hours to generate enough entropy (if ever). I was able to quickly generate enough entropy by running a 'du' command from / in another tty, other scripts or programs could also be applied. My request is either: - Notify users to "generate entropy", and possibly give a few ideas to how it's done. - Automatically start random small background tasks, until enough entropy is reached |

I still think, though, that some information for the user would be appreciated instead of just updating the wiki, and that the feature request is still valid in that sense?
