description:
When I tried to install the package nvidia some while back the installation chocked on me. (This was my bad, as I had my own custom kernel.) However, the package entry was still present in the local database, even though no files were present on my harddrive.

To clearify:
I could do "pacman -Ql nvidia", but none of the files listed were actually on my system.

Wether this bug concerns all failed package installations or nvidia only i do not know, and I suppose that the bug is in pacman and not in the nvidia .install file, but i can't verify that either.

reproducible:
Every time for me.

expected result:
The package entry should be removed from the database.

So, every time you install the nvidia package and subsequently try to remove it, the package entry does not disappear, only the files themselves?

yes the /opt files will still display but that is not a real bug and the /usr stuff was replaced by empty files if install fails.
