Details
description:
When I tried to install the package nvidia some while back the installation chocked on me. (This was my bad, as I had my own custom kernel.) However, the package entry was still present in the local database, even though no files were present on my harddrive. To clearify: I could do "pacman -Ql nvidia", but none of the files listed were actually on my system. Wether this bug concerns all failed package installations or nvidia only i do not know, and I suppose that the bug is in pacman and not in the nvidia .install file, but i can't verify that either. reproducible: Every time for me. expected result: The package entry should be removed from the database. |

So, every time you install the nvidia package and subsequently try
to remove it, the package entry does not disappear, only the files
themselves?

yes the /opt files will still display but that is not a real bug
and the /usr stuff was replaced by empty files if install fails.
