Updating to ICU 49.1.1 introduced permanent crashes eg for users that compiled AUR's chromium-dev. Applying the patch as suggested in this ICU bugtracker ticket http://bugs.icu-project.org/trac/ticket/9276 solved the underlying bug. The patch: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=FyTd1ea4 Additional info: * package version: ICU 49.1.1 Steps to reproduce: Update to ICU 49.1.1, compile eg chromium-dev. Some report random crashes while using the omnibar, others consistent ones for certain text fields. |
