Thanks for the report.

A point of clarification: did you do a full upgrade? What udev version are you using? When you downgrade to 0.4.5-2, does it work even if you don't downgrade udev too?

Did you have any problems during the upgrade (that made it necessary to delete files or use --force)?

How are you trying to mount the usbdrives? I assume using some gui (and hence udisks)?

Could you paste the output of "ck-list-sessions" as the user that is not able to mount the drive?

Ok . The problem is back

(btw i saw another new thread: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29408, this might be related to it)

output:

>ck-list-sessions
** (ck-list-sessions:1795): WARNING **: Failed to get list of seats: Process /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper received signal 5

To mount drives I just use nautilus or another file manager

can you cherry pick from testing dbus and dbus-core and then reboot?
Comment by Thomas Goossens (tgoossens) - Thursday, 12 April 2012, 19:37 GMT
I upgraded to [testing] dbus and dbus core 1.4.20-1

The problem remains

Like in this thread: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29408

Tested with
dbus 1.4.20-1
dbus-core 1.4.20-2
consolekit 0.4.6-1

The same error occurs."

This must be related to each other

Fails here too, with both the dbus from testing and the dbus from core/extra. Downgrading consolekit to 0.4.5-2 works in either case.

Please try with consolekit-0.4.6-2, I hope it is fixed now.
