This culprit, udev, strikes again ;-) It just came to my attention that I don't have cd/dvd symlinks created in /dev.
I haven't heard any racket about this issue yet, but udev upgrades obviously seem to be problematic, unfortunately. Could anyone confirm that with latest udev symlinks are created properly on his box?

uh no on my system it fails too, i try to find a solution for that one
